An All-Star Atrocity

Rasheed Wallace is an All-Star for the fourth time. He's not thrilled.

"I'd rather be a Bahamanian," he said after the East team practiced on Saturday.

Detroit's combustible forward didn't plan to spend the NBA's midseason mini-vacation in New Orleans, but he was recently named a replacement for Boston's Kevin Garnett, who is sidelined with an abdominal strain.

Above is a quote from an ESPN article. Rasheed Wallace does not want to be in the All-Star game, nor does he deserve it. Hedo Turkoglu was arguably the main reason for the Magic's success this season averaging career highs in points, assists, rebounds, field goal percentage, and minutes. Yet he did not get selected to participate in the ASG by fans or coaches. Not only does Turkoglu deserve the spot on the East All-Stars, but he wants it.

Even Lebron agreed that Hedo got snubbed.

No question in LeBron James' mind who got snubbed in the all-star voting: Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu. "Hedo Turkoglu in the Eastern Conference played well enough to make the all-star team, and he's not part of it," James said. "He played great basketball for the third-best team in the East. He played great basketball."

But its great to see that Hedo did not let his exclusion from the All-Star game affect his great play. He has a good chance to be awarded with the NBA's Most Improved Player Award, if he keeps it up.
