His Impact is Everywhere

There used to be questions about if Dwight Howard could be the franchise and carry the Magic. But this season, he has changed critic's minds. This IS Howard's team.

Dwight Howard has learned that his impact goes beyond game statistics. But check out what he has done already:

  • Named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month twice this season.
  • Also he was named the Player of the Week two times.
  • Had fifteen striaght games in which he had a double-double, which is three shy of the Magic record held by Shaq.
  • Became the second Magic player to record consecutive back-to-back 30-point/15-rebound games.
  • Has more 20-20 games than any player in the league this season.
  • He has more than double the amount of dunks than the closest competitor. He also has a higher dunk total than almost every NBA team.
  • Dwight is the only player in the NBA to be in the Top 10 in points, rebounds, blocks, and field goal percentage. Only four players in the history of the NBA have averaged 20 points and 10 assists, all while shooting 60% from the field. Howard is currently on pace to join Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal in that exclusive group.
  • Had 2,066,991 All-Star votes, which amounts to the third most overall this year.
  • Made his first All-Star start of many, in the 2008 NBA All Star Game.
  • And last but not least, as of today, Dwight has lead the Magic to a 33-21 record (.611%), and a spot atop the Southeast Division.

And as just an added fact, had Dwight gone to college, he would be in his senior season. So, that just gives you an idea of how special he is and how amazing his accomplishments truly are. He is still very young and has so much room to grow even better.
